Cat Williams was, in her younger days, voted most likely to end up in prison. After her expulsion from an exclusive girl’s boarding school, Cat was angry and borderline neurotic. She veered off the rails and when arrested by the local police, she joked that she would make a better copper than the officers who had locked her up. This is a humorous true story of triumph over adversity and follows the author on her journey as a junior Police Officer in London to working as a Royalty Protection Officer at Buckingham Palace.
ABOUT CAT WILLIAMS
Cat is an author, police officer and philanthropist who lives a life of service.
Voted most likely to end up in prison by her former school teacher, she began her career in the British Army. Awarded Top Recruit in basic training and Best Recruit of the Year in her regiment, Cat went on to become the first female to be awarded First Place on a Royal Engineers Junior NCO cadre.
Upon leaving the Army, she joined the London Metropolitan Police. While there, she spent six years serving in the Royalty Protection Squad at Buckingham Palace. She then migrated to Western Australia and spent four years working as a police officer in Kalgoorlie an outback gold mining town.
Her mother died of breast cancer when she was six. She has completed a parachute jump for Macmillan Cancer Support, shaved her head for the World’s Greatest Shave charity event, took part in the 200km Ride to Conquer Cancer and will donate 20% of the profits from her book sales to the Harry Perkins Institute for cancer research.
Additionally, she has cycled from London to Paris for Success for Kids children’s charity and hiked the Inca trail in Peru for the Great Ormond Street Children’s hospital, London.
